RZ-19 :- This variety very popular variety of Jeera Market Price with pink flowers, erect stems, and bold pubescent grains. tolerant to wilt as well as blight; around in 4 months to 5 months with an average production of 6.0 quintals.
GC-1 :- This variety is an erect-growing variety of cumin with bold, linear, pink flowers and oblong, ash brown color grains. tolerant to wilt disease. start maturing in around 3 months to 4 months with an average production of 7.0 quintals.
RZ-209 :- This Variety is an erect-growing variety of cumin with bold, grey, pubescent grains, pink flowers, resistant to wilt and blight diseases; matures around in 145 to 155 days with an average production of 7.0 quintal.
Indian Production of Cumin
Jeera growers in Rajasthan and Gujarat are expecting about 25-30 per cent higher yield over last year. Though official numbers are not announce, indications from traders and farmers point to a crop size of about 5 lakh tonnes as against about 4.1 lakh tonnes in the previous year. We expect about 30 per cent higher production in Gujarat this season.
